Microwaves

Microwaves can be used for communication and  heat.

Microwaves are short radio waves. In the electromagnetic spectrum, microwaves are in between ordinary radio waves and infrared waves. Microwaves can pass through rain, smoke, and fog. They are used for communications. For examples, beams of microwaves are used to send telephone messages in mountain areas where it is too difficult  to put up telephone lines.
