Radio waves are used for communication.

Radio waves are used to transmit radio and television signals. Radio waves have wavelengths and they travel at the speed of light. Two kinds of radio waves are AM and FM waves.  AM waves carry information by constantly changing the amplitudes of the waves. FM waves carry information through changes in the frequencies of the wave.
